Community Cafe and Outreach Post Office
Unfortunately, due to pandemic restrictions, the cafe is closed until further notice but the Outreach Post Office is functioning as normal, from 1.30 - 4.30pm every Thursday and Friday.
The Forum, in collaboration with other volunteers, provides a Community Cafe and Outreach Post Office service on Thursdays and Fridays, 1.30 - 4.30pm.
This is open to all members of our community and the general public. We include themed sessions, craft activities, recycling banks for bras, spectacles, used stamps, foreign coins and have a Foodbank donation box. Unsuitable food donated to the Foodbanks elsewhere is on sale for a small donation. A small donation is also suggested for refreshments, which usually cater for most needs (e.g. gluten-free, lactose-free etc).
As Bulphan Village Hall is now a licensed premises, we offer a licensed bar on Friday afternoons.
Our local councillors, Sue Little and Barry Johnson, regularly attend, as does the Local Area Co-ordinator Pauline White, who supports vulnerable adults, the elderly, the bereaved, the disabled etc.
Bala is our postmaster, ably assisted by Ross, Shamiya and Michael. They come out from the main post office in Grays Shopping Centre and can provide almost all the services at Bulphan Village Hall that they offer at Grays.
