Within the pages you will find information about the forum, meeting dates, venues, past minutes and other interesting information.
The Forum was established in 2002 as part of the governmental initiative that aims to bring as much democracy as possible to the local areas. It covers all of Chadwell, anarea which is diverse in character, housing and people, and is unique for an area of this size in that it still retains something of a village feel despite the high level of housing.
The Forum holds open meetings on a regular basis, usually at Herringham School, and the dates and past minutes can be viewed on separate pages. Members of the public are always welcome and in attendance will usually be your local councilors and officers from your local policing team.
Don't be concerned about attending.
The meetings are friendly, relaxed and informal.
In the past the Council have given us a pool of money to spend on projects agreed by the residents. Take a look under Forum Schemes to see what we have previously done. From April 2011 the Council were unable to provide any further funds apart from a small amount of Administration money which goes towards paying for our Web site, insurance and promotion. The Chadwell St. Mary Community Forum decided to go down the route of becoming a Limited Company by guarantee. We are also hoping to become a charity to enable us to go to outside funders for projects we would like to do in the area. Please take a look at New Project Page to find out what we are currently doing.Disclaimer
