 Remembrance Day Services 2020

Good Morning,
Please see shown below, from Stronger Together Thurrock & Partners, re. 2020 Remembrance Sunday:-
"Remembrance Day events – The Council is not aware of any applications, Parades and road closures are discouraged due to the difficulty of ensuring social distancing as well as ensuring the actual numbers attending are not exceeded. All events would require the event organiser to write a COVID secure risk assessment and to ensure this was adhered to. The Council will be contacting the local churches to see if any private services will be held to arrange for Council representation if appropriate. The Council is looking to promote the national arrangements, as well as encouraging people to Remember at home, marking the 2 min silence on doorsteps".

As you can read, the Council are very concerned & fully understand, the Emotional & Importance of this, that Crowds could gather & as such are asking that all Risk Assessments, Road Closure Applications, Govt. Covid-19 Restrictions & Limitations are met, if a Group decides to arrange a Remembrance Ceremony. I do have to mention that Road Closure Applications maybe be rejected as it is now outside of the Time Period for submissions.

Please contact me if you have any Questions or Comments.
