Neighbourhood Policing?
Thurrock has 16 Neighbourhood Policing Teams
Neighbourhood policing is about local policing – a small team of officers and police community support officers dedicated to a local area.  They will work in partnership with other agenices and the public to identify and tackle issues that concern local people.

Each area will have a locally known and recognisable officer who you will be able to contact directly. There will be more patrols on foot or bike especially in the areas people have indicated they feel unsafe.

Neighbourhood policing aims to deal with the policing issues in your area, that matter most to you.

Community Forums are working closely with the Neighbourhood Police Teams.  Meetings are regularly attended by the police who have information on the local crime figures.  By attending the forum meetings you have the opportunity to hear exactly what crimes have been reported in your area.  You can also raise your issues and specific concerns with the police who will work with their partner agencies to make your neighbourhood a safer place.

Thurrock Neighbourhood Watch

Is a local voluntary non-sectarian organisation, set up to combat and reduce local crime and disorder. Our communications network bands together individual homes and streets across Thurrock, in cooperation with Thurrock Police, Essex NHW and other interested organisations.

Street Coordinators are the key to NHW operation and a vital communication link between each Group and the rest of Thurrock NHW. Recruiting these key residents is our Number-One Task.
